Miss Havachat!
For the last few years I've been working closely with author, Peter Barber, to create a childrens book for 3-6 year old girls. But not just any children's book! The book is customisable in lots of ways to suit your own little "Miss Havachat". Name, appearance, family, friends... all customisable through an online interface and delivered anywhere in the world.

This book has been a long time in the making, mainly because the technology to connect variable image data to digital printing is so new. But finally we got there.
The book comes with gift wrap and a little card to match (and a free download of the Miss Havachat song).

We launched the book during 'story time' at the Darebin library and it was a hit:

this looks great and very apt for my 4 year old. Today we were late for her ballet class because she had to have a chat to everyone she saw before the class. Her brother's school teacher, other mothers, people at the shop who we didn't even know,etc etc. I'm always saying to her, 'less talking, more walking'

I was very excited about this until...both of my children are adopted from Ethiopia. They have brown skin, (which is not a choice) and they were not grown in my tummy...
I want to give you some constructive criticism here. You are donating to an organization in Tanzania... I really would like to see more diversity options in books such as these!! Please!!!

Thanks so much for the constructive feedback Heather! I totally understand you're upset with this limitation and it was something we deliberated over for some time... unfortunately the complexity of making the skin changeable was above and beyond what we were capable of at this point - especially since it would only make sense for all the other family members to have the same skin colour (well in most circumstances I guess!).
We decided it's best to just get the book up anyway, despite this limitation, and then have a re-release with more features if we can afford it. We hope that a book that brings joy to some children, if not all, was better than no book at all :) ... I'm truly sorry for any offense caused by this.
No offense taken...just a wishful plea!!
