Hello 2008. I'm looking forward to seeing what you have in store for me this year. I've been doing a lot of thinking and I reckon I'm definitely going to keep growing the textile production side of my business. Get into production of homewares etc and see how it goes. I've found someone who can possibly do sewing for me, and that is very, very exciting :)
It feels like forever though that I've had time to sit down and actually create some new designs. The last few days have been quiet, so I've had a chance to play around with some of the ideas that have been stuck in my head. I'm not 100% on all of them yet, but it was fun to sit down and play again:
UPDATE: just replaced this last pattern with the above - much better :)

They look great- the 2nd one reminds me of seaweed...
i would totally buy any of these. they are really good.
are you ready for fall? it looks like you are.
All gorgeous but the last one is my favourite.
i like the eyelets too. the middle two remind me of jill bliss's line drawings of sea stuff. cute.
can't wait to see more of your stuff!
looks like you've found inspiration over the break ;) They're all 'wintery' colours, they look great! exciting...a new year...new patterns
They are all so wonderful but I really, really love the last one. It would look so great on a number of home decor items but also as some smocks for softies :-)
Happy New Year!
They are ALL lovely! I think that the first is my favorite, but honestly, I'd like all of them! They're all in my colours!
Happy 2008! I love the new designs, especially the first and the last!
The last one, the last one!!
wow - they are all beautiful. I hope when the go up for sale I'll be quick enough to snatch some up
:)
The first and the last. Definately!
I'm so glad that you're going to expand the textile thing - if I were in Melbourne I'd offer to get on board and help with the sewing!
Happy 2008!

i love them. again. and again. the third one is my favorite. good luck on your branching out. i am sure folks will love it all.
I really like the green and blue one. Kinda reminds me of seaweed.
Third one MIGHT be my favorite but all are amazing. I may have said this before, but I think good deeds bear repeating, you have been such an inspiration for me this year where I've been dabbling in textile design. After a two month "break" (not really a a pleasure break, more like "I need to get a billion other projects done before the end of the year" kinda break) I am back to playing with repeat pattern design and oh its so much fun.
Do you sell postcards of your designs? I'd like to have a few in my inspiration board so that I can look at them and know that I can reach far. :) Again, thanks for sharing all your designs and awesomeness with us!!!!
hi Lara,
I really like the colour combinations of the last one. The pattern is very lovely.
All the best in the new year - I am excited to see your new homewares.
best,
arounna :)
They're all beautiful! The last one is my favorite!!!
Hi, Just wanted to thank you for you post on the reversible journal cover. My daughter and I made two of them today (they are posted on my blog if you want to see) They were really easy to make and my daughter (age 13) is really pleased that she made something on her sewing machine. She can't wait to show off her cover to her friends when she goes back to school next week. Thanks again!
Happy new year Lara! Looks like you're off to a great start - I love your new designs! I really like the colors you chose. I think I like the first and the last the best as well, but am also drawn to the middles ones :)
I love them all....Jeepers, housewares would be cool.
Wow I love that last rain-drop type design, it's gorgeous!
Also I forgot to mention this when I last commented on your journal, but I used your lovely journal cover tutorial to make some Christmas presents - they turned out great so I just wanted to say thanks so much for sharing the tute! There are a few pictures on my blog if you'd like to see them ;)
hey miss Lara. good to hear that you are excited about 2008. optimism is the best!
love the new designs, in particular the 3rd and 4th.
love the new designs - absolutely gorgeous! and homewares sound very exciting :-)
Happy New Year Lara!! :)
Your new designs are just gorgeous!! I especially love the bottom two! They'll look fabulous made up into homewares. Wishing you all the very best for a successful, creative and exciting new year!
xox.
Very much looking forward to seeing your homewares. I think that these fabrics would look gorgeous as bags. I'd be keen to have a crack at that.
I love the first design, it has a Bauhaus feel mixed with the organic nature of Art Deco. LOVE IT!
lovely fabric as always
Ok so when can we buy these? They are fab.
I need some funky modern fabrics to go with the bright sea blue I just painted the nursery. Grass or eyelets would be perfect.
They are wonderful, I can't wait for your next shop update and when they are ready, to see some of those new designs for sale. Your fabrics are my favorite to work with.
Happy New Year! These new patterns look great.
wow they all look great! now the question will be when can we see them and buy them! they're gorgeous!
Mmmm. I love the yummy raindrops...
I would buy all of these,... tomorrow if possible.
