Hello 2008

Hello 2008. I'm looking forward to seeing what you have in store for me this year. I've been doing a lot of thinking and I reckon I'm definitely going to keep growing the textile production side of my business. Get into production of homewares etc and see how it goes. I've found someone who can possibly do sewing for me, and that is very, very exciting :)

It feels like forever though that I've had time to sit down and actually create some new designs. The last few days have been quiet, so I've had a chance to play around with some of the ideas that have been stuck in my head. I'm not 100% on all of them yet, but it was fun to sit down and play again:

UPDATE: just replaced this last pattern with the above - much better :)

They are all so wonderful but I really, really love the last one. It would look so great on a number of home decor items but also as some smocks for softies :-)

Happy New Year!

The first and the last. Definately!

I'm so glad that you're going to expand the textile thing - if I were in Melbourne I'd offer to get on board and help with the sewing!

Happy 2008!

Third one MIGHT be my favorite but all are amazing. I may have said this before, but I think good deeds bear repeating, you have been such an inspiration for me this year where I've been dabbling in textile design. After a two month "break" (not really a a pleasure break, more like "I need to get a billion other projects done before the end of the year" kinda break) I am back to playing with repeat pattern design and oh its so much fun.
Do you sell postcards of your designs? I'd like to have a few in my inspiration board so that I can look at them and know that I can reach far. :) Again, thanks for sharing all your designs and awesomeness with us!!!!

Hi, Just wanted to thank you for you post on the reversible journal cover. My daughter and I made two of them today (they are posted on my blog if you want to see) They were really easy to make and my daughter (age 13) is really pleased that she made something on her sewing machine. She can't wait to show off her cover to her friends when she goes back to school next week. Thanks again!

Also I forgot to mention this when I last commented on your journal, but I used your lovely journal cover tutorial to make some Christmas presents - they turned out great so I just wanted to say thanks so much for sharing the tute! There are a few pictures on my blog if you'd like to see them ;)

Very much looking forward to seeing your homewares. I think that these fabrics would look gorgeous as bags. I'd be keen to have a crack at that.

I love the first design, it has a Bauhaus feel mixed with the organic nature of Art Deco. LOVE IT!

lovely fabric as always

Ok so when can we buy these? They are fab.

I need some funky modern fabrics to go with the bright sea blue I just painted the nursery. Grass or eyelets would be perfect.
