Okay so you're probably looking at this and thinking that lace making has the potential to drive you certifiably mad. But... surprisingly enough, it's actually quite enjoyable. It's quite a good distraction from all the racing thoughts in my head, it forces me to focus on something else.
So there. A post about something other than fabric! xx

My mum has the bobbins at home, but it is ages she doesn´t use them.
I always had thought that it was very difficult...

Ooh, I'm envious! That looks wonderfully absorbing to do.
I was in barcelona the other week and all the regions lacemaking groups had a big meeting/possibly competition, The park in the centre of the Rambla del Raval was filled with long lines of trestle tables and hundreds of little old catalonian ladies making lace and checking out eachother's work.

my friend Robyn and I watched a lace maker working in Brugge, Belgium a while back. It boggled my mind, I tell you! I'm so impressed with you.
Hey seeing this post got me into making bobbin lace - I went out and brought books and a kit and everything.
