fabrics in the shop

The shop is now healthily stocked up with the new Bulokku print and some other old faves:

The Birch Forest has all sold out in a snap though. I really need to do something about that. Birch is printed from the same screen as Riverside Adventures which doesn't sell quite so well, so I think it's time to separate them!

I can either find another design to print alongside it (maybe My Little Town??) or, I can modify the Birch to be full width. I'd probably do this by increasing the scale of the design slightly and adding more branches at the top. But I'm not sure - would that design really work 1.5m tall?? Is a full width Birch fabric even useful to crafters? Would love to hear people's thoughts on the matter...

I think full width would be fine but I wouldn't increase the size... it honestly depends what you're using it for. I was surprised when I saw it in Patchwork on Central Park as even then the scale was bigger than what I had imagined...

I'm sure, on the flip-side, some people would like a bigger scale though. That didn't help much did it. Could you do one screen of smaller Birch and one of bigger Birch? Would that be too confusing?

I love your new Bulokku print and wish I could buy some. (Too poor right now!)

I am so amazed by your patterns. Sometimes I look and look and look at your fabrics and can't tell where the repeat is. How do you do it?? Ok, I know how you do it (I think) - I saw your tute a while back, but still... amazing!

Aww..I love Riverside friends..but def go for My Little Town instead. Is is possible to just add another Birch screen since it's clearly so popular? Then you could get double the amount, which I won't be complaining about.

Oh I have been waiting waiting for you to print the little houses! yes! yes! yes!

hi lara -
i would probably keep the birch design to the scale it is and print with another design... the my little town design is really cute so i reckon that could be the way to go :-)

I would love to see My Little Town. We're having (another) little boy in February and that would be the perfect fabric to accent his new room! The poor boy is getting so many hand-me-downs from his older brother that I'm looking for fun and creative ways to get him some new stuff. Pillows? Playmat? I'm already making the list of possibilities!

I also love that My Little Town! So I thought I'd put it a vote for printing with that one :)

I would LOVE a full width birch, as I'd like to use it to make a duvet cover.

I'd love a full width birch trees too. It'd make it possible to use your fabric to make garments, not just smaller projects. Imagine a birchy skirt *happy sigh*
