This morning...

I seem to be getting very good at bringing home bits of blue vinyl furniture from trash and treasure markets. Here is this morning's haul from the Camby market:

Camby market haul

That chair has so much potential for awesomeness. I quite like the pretty detail of the tacking too, adds a bit of a feminine, lacy touch.

I also bought a couple of bunches of leucadendrons for a project I'm slowly working on...

Leucadendron, my favorite species of Proteaceae

And the bowls.. they're lovely too! I bought a similar chair, and LOVE it! I thought about replacing its orange vinyl(!) but somehow it's found a place in my heart! There's a pic here http://www.devonred.com/2/post/2010/12/benchairs.html

I was out walking this morning and found a chair on the side of the road! I carried it home hehe. Will need some lovely upholstery fabric for it soon.... : )

Perhaps you were a Satin Bowerbird in a past life? Collecting blue thing for the nest :) Love the shape of the chair. Proteaceae are fav with me too & can't wait to see what you do with the leucadendron (art-wise).
