Tagged

Caylie from birdprint tagged me a little while ago to write 6 random things about myself. It always takes me awhile to come up with 6 things that are actually vaguely interesting... (and still might not be, hehe).

Anyway, the rules:

1. Link to the person who “tagged” you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Write six random things about yourself.
4. Tag six people at the end of your post.
5. Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
6. Let the tagger know your entry is up.

Here are my things:

1) I don't like sultanas in my museli. Every morning I pick them out. They're too sweet and hurt my teeth. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who does this...

2) Often I wake at 3:00am with completely blurred vision only to realise that I've left my contacts in and they've become covered with goobey eye stuff.

3) Lately I've been obsessed with a particular Indian curry place (The Classic Curry Company) that home delivers. It's so freaking good that I do a little jump-up-and-down dance when it arrives. It can't be good for you if it tastes that good ;)

4) My favourite TV series of all time is Dexter. I'm not into blood and guts but that series is really, really well written. It's much better when you watch all the episodes back-to-back though.

5) Recently I've taken to turning the radio up really loud in the car and singing along (badly) to songs.

6) I know this is a really petty, middle-class thing to complain about, but I hate it when I go to the supermarket equipped with multiple green bags, and the checkout person goes all tetris on me and stacks everything in one bag, including all the milks, yoghurts and other heavy stuff.

Today I'm going to tag some lovely recent commenters: Michelle, Rachel, Emma, Fer, Lexy and Katiecrackernuts. All with lovely blogs worth checking out :)

Right with you there on the green bag tetris - what are these people thinking? Its usually accompanied by the question: will they be ok in the one bag? Um, if I have just given you six bags, I'd be thinking that the answer is probably no!!

I'm with you on the sultanas thing. And how hard is it to find a good muesli sans sultanas! Drives me crazy!
Congrats on the Design Sponge write-up. Go girl!

I'm up to Season 2 Episode 7 and we are totally addicted, not sure if it is my favourite show of all time, but it is great, I don't think there is a bad character, I dig them all.

re: the green bags

oh gosh! i thought it was just the teen sackers at my store! it really bugs me not only because of the question of whether things are going to get squashed but also because it makes the bags harder to unload at home.

Oh, thanks so much! The other people you tagged are new to me too, I can't wait to check them out. Now, to think of my random things...

yay! I've been waiting to see your funny random answers. I also hate sultanas, and dates, and all those kinda of things! ick.

HOW GOOD IS DEXTER. I was obsessed from the very first show, the introduction where his lip gets caught on his tshirt, man....I liked six feet under, BUT this is like EVEN more amazing of a show!!!

thanks for doing the 6 random things :)

Eeep, now I've been tagged by you and Caylie, so I best be thinking of some of my own random things!

I haven't watched Dexter at all... if there's blood in the promos there's bound to be blood in the show!

Oh I hate the green bag thing too - but what I can't stand even more is when I have given them my green bags - and they just keep putting stuff in plastic. Man, that really gets my goat!

I just got Season 1 of Dexter and I've only watched two episodes, but oh man, is that show good or what?!? I'm a sissy and I have to cover my eyes during the bloody parts, but I love it anyway!

oooh! I was wondering why I was getting all these hits in my stats via your blog! Now it makes sense. Thanks for including me :)

I will have to think of 6 random things about myself! Hmmm...

Haven't seen Dexter yet. I've missed too many episodes on TV so would rather just watch it all in one go on DVD, especially since there's so many people raving about it! It's on my summer break to-do list. I'm waiting for Season 2 of Damages!! I can definately recommend that one!

Thank you for tagging me. I feel super special given you're so busy with new ventures and all. I feel like I've been really lazy about keeping up, but will get to confessing all soon. Promise.

Yep, Dexter's great! I've watched season's one and two, and am now hanging out for season three. If you're looking for something else to get stuck into after Dexter, you should check out Deadwood. Another totally addictive series.

I had to respond to this one... Yes! I can't stand it when people overstack my green bags at the checkout. Do I look muscle-bound? No. I can barely lift the bags when they're done with them...

Oh, and Carman's do a wicked muesli which is slightly toasted and 'fruit-free' ... I too have to pick out the sultanas from normal muesli. Can't stand them!

Fellow sultana picker outter reporting in. The weirdest thing is, is that I love sultana bran but takes me a while to eat (have to get up an hour earlier) as I still have to pick out the sultana's. Maybe I should just buy bran!
