We have a cute shiny red quick-unpick. And it's not even mine. It's Pete's! But I think we're going to get well aquainted over the next little while when I (sigh) unpick the binding on my quilt and start over.
Thank you everyone for your feedback and advice on the quilt binding - the general consensus basically indicated that I need to start again. At least machine stitch from the front and hand stitch from the back (my machine stitching is on the back, not the front).
Anyway, onto lighter things, check out these cute little dresses by Pollipop using my fabrics!
They're Blythe/Lati doll dresses by Pollipop. I love seeing my fabrics in different contexts, it gives me such a buzz. Thanks Grace!
Speaking of fabrics, I do have some new stock to add to the shop (soon), but I'm limiting the amount that I print until the new printing business is up and running. I also won't be printing any new designs until that point.
Aaalso, I get a lot of enquiries about the Birch Forest fabric. It's definitely my favourite and the most popular. I will be reprinting this design at the new studio, but better than ever before! It will be avilable full width (!) and oriented so the trees run the length of the fabric. Perfect for projects like drapery - yay!

Yay for Birch fabric!!
Good luck with unpicking (and go slow- I always rush it and sometimes cut the fabric, which would be such a shame with your beautiful quilt!). I'm about to start my first quilt this evening, no doubt I'll be doing some unpicking too ;)
such cute little dresses!
Cool - the birch forest pattern is my favourite too! I love the little pollipop dresses.
Good luck with the quilt! I am sure it will be perfect!
so glad u r unpicking, did not have the heart to tell u that it was wrong
These are incredibly fun! So endearing :)
it doesn't matter if you machine sew from the front or back, the problem is when you do the second side that you do not stretch the bias as you go along. I still say a straight grain binding works best and it never twists like the bias. by the way, great fabric there on those little dresses...
Thanks to Bloesem I just discovered your web shop and blog. Love it. Well done you, and good luck with the business!
Oh awesome! I'm so excited about the long repeats of the Birch forest - we've just found a rental house in Perth and it desperately needs new curtains. These would definitely fit the bill!
