gift labels and many other things

Today my "studio" / apartment looks like a bomb hit it. Last week I didn't have enough to do, and as it always goes everything suddenly arrived at once. I've got letterpress gift tags in the making, freshly printed label sheets (just up in my shop today!), packaging goods coming out of my ears and bolts and bolts of fabric to photograph.

Here's some pics of the gift labels!

The button badges are a freebie with local orders, and the gift tags with international orders (so that I don't have to deal with customs - paper goods are much easier).

Aaaaand, to add more madness to the day, an interview I did with Triple J radio apparently starts airing today! I think it's only a minute long and gets aired a few times during the week. So I'm keeping an ear out. Gee I really hope I don't sound stupid. The interviewer Jen was really lovely and she said she'd do her best to make me sound good, but hopefully I gave her enough good material to work with! You can read the accompanying online article here. I say "artsy crafty" way too much.

Bobbin Friends!

The Cups and Cuddles exhibition last night was great - you should definitely check it out if you're in the area. Lots of lovely people were there to meet and catch up with, I got to have a nice big long chat with Pip, and got to meet the very talented Catherine Campbell in person, who was really lovely. For some reason I always form a mental impression in my head of what someone will be like before I meet them, and if they're super talented I often assume they'll "know it" and be all "uber cool" and standoffish. And it's fantastic when they're just lovely and down to earth and nice.

This weekend I've had a whole bunch of 'me' time whilst Pete's off at an Olympic weightlifting certification thingy (no he's not all huge and hardcore with no neck - just something he's getting in to). Plenty of time for crafting and preparing some new, non-fabric stuff for my shop (the fabric is still coming though, in about a week - whoo!).

A little while ago I got these 'Bobbin Friends' button badges made and have sewn some little Japanesey fabric pouches for them. They're up on etsy now.

Okay time for a cuppa. Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend :)
