where I have been

I haven't been here at my blog very much of late, but I have been:

At the printing table, printing stacks of fabric:

a monument of our hard work
A monument of hand printed textiles for Stitches & Craft

At the cutting table, folding fat quarters using Amy from Badskirt's awesome tute:

Fat quarters for Stitches & Craft - I'm having way too much fun making these, although I'm sure the shine will wear off in the next hour or so.

And finally, at the sewing machine, making skirts for our upcoming exhibition: Refabricated (go here for details!)

The fat quarters look great. Passing credit along, the folding technique came from Ballarat Patchwork. I love how "finished" they look and how neatly they stay folded.

I wish I could make it to Melbourne for the show. I hope Ink&Spindle can travel up for the Sydney show. I'd love to be a fly on the wall for your craft labs!

Gorgeous! I hope you don't sell them all on the first day! I want some by the time I get there.
Looks awesome, can't wait for next week!

I print [and dye] my own fabric as well, and also put it back on the bolt so that it's easier to handle... that stack of fabrics you've made yourself is so satisfying!
