Show's over

stitches & craft goodness

The show is over, and although I'm exhausted and relieved I definitely miss all the excitement and community-ness of it all.

I'm a little bit attached to my little show tokens, shown above. The scarf was made by one of the lovely ladies at Audrey & Maud (Louise, I think??) and I received it in the bloggers dinner swap. Couldn't have picked a more perfect gift for me - I'm often cold, and it is so soft and warm.

The Oobee is named Phoebee, and if you're one of the 3 people in the world who haven't seen one before, they're by the lovely Leslie of Onegirl who I finally got to meet in person after many years of stalking each others' blogs. I've spent so long coveting these little fellows and it finally occured to me that why don't I just go buy one for myself?! And then Leslie suggested a trade - even better!

It's back to normal life - sort of. We have a backlog of printing to do, and an exhibition to prepare for (starts tomorrow night!!). But after that, I'm looking forward to a much needed haircut and a massage.

Hi Lara, the scarf is from Louise! We had such a great time at the show and it was so lovely to meet you girls - (I am the other half of Audrey and Maude) Good luck with your next exhibition. Hopefully I will see you again.

I imagine the post-Show comedown is a bit of a doozy to deal with but how wonderful to have done an intense five day gig and come out smiling and fat quarter folding in your sleep! (ok, maybe less of the latter). Am still loving looking at my Ink & Spindle purchases.

Awww.. I miss the show already! It was something fun to look forward to and had a great atmosphere about it. Now I'll have to wait for next year.... oh yeah and start sewing up a storm with all the gorgeous fabric I bought.
You girls did such a great job & deserve a much needed break.
Goodluck with the exhibition tomorrow. Can't wait for pics! xo

And a much deserved massage, I'm sure! It looks like it was a lot of work, but totally worth it (I hope).

Nice treasures you acquired. Phoebe is adorable.

I believe I'm one of the three people in the world who has never heard of an oobee, however I'm glad that I now have as they are adorable! Very cute scarf too :)

It was so nice to meet you girls at the dinner and the show! I've been such a huge fan for so long, so I was a little bit squee-ish to have met all my heroes in the one place!

Hope your cold is getting better.
