floral

I feel like I haven't designed or created anything new from scratch in forever. So today, whilst stuck indoors on a 46/115 degree day (although I happened to go out and buy a new pencil at 3pm when it was the very hottest), I experimented with drawing flowers.

It's not my usual style, and I don't know if it's worth screen printing (a little traditional I think), but it was fun to try something different and prove to myself that I can do more detailed botanical illustration.

This is lovely :) Different than your usual, it's true, but lovely nonetheless (is nonetheless a word?), lol!

It's very pretty - and it never hurts to expand your library of designs. Maybe ink & spindle will offer clients a range of "house" designs that can customize with colors?

I think it's fantastic. Detailed just enough and without all the ornamentation. You should look at it in a variety of colors, you'll probably fall in love with it!

I like it (but I'm a sucker for florals). The colours you've shown it in here do take it beyond the traditional; it looks almost like a vintage print that's bleached away in the sun, leaving only the essence of the design.

I agree, the two-tone colour way takes it further than just traditional.
I think it is lovely, and would work beautifully on a textured fabric.

Since you now have the opportunity of doing fabrics more economically for yourselves, I think it makes perfect sense to offer a variety of prints which may expand your customer base. This is a lovely print and would certainly attract a good many people- how lovely it would be for upholstery projects and drapes. I agree with the others who suggest a few colorways- pretty yellow and gold comes to mind.

Hi Lara! It doesn't surprise me at all that you can create such a lovely pattern! I like your color choices, too. I think it would be great to offer it is a fabric!

Hmmmm - love it! Very different to your other work but I reckon deinitely worth printing...I think your colour palette would make it anything but traditional. I think it is gorgeous.

Also like Daisy janie's idea of "house designs".

I like the pattern... And ugh! 46 degrees! Here in Canada we're longing for spring, but winter's got a tight grip at -30... *sigh* But if i had the option, I'm not sure I could handle 46.
