Have you ever had one of those days where you wonder why you call yourself a designer? Where you're stuck with some sort of design problem and you can't find the solution, and then someone else comes along and can see the solution straight away? And it's not just that you're too close to it/have looked at it for too long & they have fresh eyes... it's that they can come up with solutions that you could never, ever have thought of because your brain just doesn't work that way. Doesn't think outside the square so easily. Gets stuck in little mental boxes. Bleh, that was my day today.

On a good note the hanging mobile i ordered arrive in the post today so I'm looking forward to putting it together and hanging it up tonight - yay!

is that a Polli mobile design? I have had an order form of theirs, sitting in my to do tray for about a year. It was going to be a housewarning gift for me (any excuse) but I just haven't got around to it. Nice.

It's from some designer called ige actually! I found it off design*sponge - a great daily source of inspiration :)

I work like that most days, being a freelancer I have few people to critique me/my work before the clients sees it, its kind of like I cross my fingers, hope for the best, attach a PDF and off it goes!!

Snap! I've started working from home (I'm in Sydney) a couple months ago after being a web designer in an office for many years. Took a while to get used to being alone but am really enjoying the independence and also indulging in my crafty business. I saw your Gocco stuff on Flickr and love your designs and patterns!
