I've always, always, always loved old signage, especially transport related. I keep seeing vintage train/tram/bus scrolls in antiques shops but can never afford them.
Then during a recent visit to Sedonia I noticed they were selling repro ones. And thought maybe I could make my own one. And maybe it could have a cute twist, since it's obviously not original anyway...
Still a work in progress, but feedback always welcome! I'll print it nice and big on canvas to hang on my wall...

mannn...I had that same thought...we must've seen the same one in the same shop on the Kensi strip with those gorgeous faux danish coffee tables and chests of drawers!
I just couldn't work out how to get it printed that big?
p.s. I like the non-justified version...however I do like the via Spotswood
I like the addition of via. I think I prefer the justified look as well but with a bit more variety in font height. Looks great. I've been wanting to get a Bondi one but had the same feeling about making my own!
I love a good bit of font. I like the idea of including ink & spindle - there are heaps of these train and tram scrolls around, but customising works and sets you apart. What about not using black as the background?
I love the idea. I have seen them it around, but I generally can't afford to splash out on things like this at the moment.
Printed on fabric it would make a great tea towel too!
Ooo I want one! :D
Oh I love it !
What a great idea, I really like what you`ve made here. Signs are fascinating.
Totally fabulous. I think I like the second version best.
What about adding Blackburn
i like "via Spotswood"
This looks great! - the funny thing is I have been thinking along the same lines and been working on my own version with London UK names :-)
Hmm, I like the teatowel idea too - much cooler for gifts/souvenirs than one that has a sun, kangaroo and large rock pictured (haha)!
I love it, really great idea, i like the via one too. I've just ordered this tea towel (http://poulierandpoulier.com.au/teatowels_toorak.html) to frame & hang in our home :)
Hey could you add nikkishell inbetween seddon and yarraville? ;)
I would love to see this (without the I&S stop) for sale in your shop!
